LOCATION
Guerrero borders the states of Michoacán, México, Morelos and Puebla to the north; to the east, it borders Puebla and Oaxaca; to the south, Oaxaca and the Pacific Ocean; and to the west, the Pacific Ocean and Michoacán.Guerrero has a surface area of 64,282 km2, which represents 3.3% of the country’s total area.

The state of Guerrero is divided into 7 Economic Regions: the Big Coast, the Small Coast, the Hot Lands, the North, the Center, the Mountains and Acapulco. The capital is Chilpancingo. Guerrero has 77 official municipalities and one autonomous municipality.
